Meltdowns

Ki is in his room having a sobbing, crying fit. Over a simple assignment. It's days like these I want to force my kids to get up at 6AM and sit at a table and 6 hours of written school work for a month so they can see how good they have it!

was it the clown face assignment?

levi doesn't have meltdowns. he just keeps asking why and telling me why he thinks his ideas are better. sometimes he's right. but it's still annoying.

this too shall pass - and you'll be having fun again. :-)

If Ki were to TALK, I'd work with him and his ideas. I can't deal with a child who is sobbing. There is no reasoning. He settled down, we talked about and we able to get his ideas into the assignment. It was like "See? Isn't that much better than having a fit?"

Aww that's not easy to deal with, I know. I remember one time you had a week of 'regular' school. Did that help them realize that you're giving them a gift they cannot replace ever? They will realize it when they're older and have kids of there own.. or you can only hope they will.
I'm so thankful you're home educating your boys. I thank God every day for you and your loving ways with your family.
