NPA2018 #3&4 stripes and barbells

This will be a short blip for No Pants April days 3 and 4. Been dealing with migraines (and need to get in to my doctor for new meds)

Yesterday was a casual outfit. a Yellow & Dark Grey Raglan Top and Pencil Skirt (made by me) and athletic leggings. It's a bit chilly where I work, sewing for firemen.

Not the prettiest nor most flattering, but comfy and warm!

and cute SNAKES in my ears!!

Last Night I designed and cut Amelia's Wedding Apron. (my future daughter in law asked for an apron b/c she is having pasta at the reception)

My Lovely Cat, because I know you all want to see Persephone sleeping. Who wouldn't???

TODAY's outfit was yo make lifting weights easier.

I did  1 set with the weight bar and got super dizzy, re-triggered my migraine, and then  I slept most the rest of the day.

SIGH.

NO PANTS DAY 6!

I have not been documenting No Pants April very well this year.

here is my NoPants Outfit today: workout skirt.

 not very pretty skirt, but I gotta keep in shape at least one day a week.

 I was looking for posts from No Pants April last year...NONE! None, I tell you!  How am I to get the word out to everyone on the internet if I don't  bother posting about the No Pants April challenge?? I did find a few pictures on Instagram from last year, though....

I will do better this year.

my Friend, KRISTY @THE MAN CREW , is also joining the NO PANTS APRIL challenge (for the 2nd time!)- so go over to her page and tell her how pretty she is in her lovely skirts and dresses!

January 1 Merry Christmas!

I am sitting at the kitchen table with a homemade chai latte and plate of cookies. I need to get all the cookies and Swedish Fish eaten by Monday, so I can get back to logging calories and nutrients.

We celebrated Christmas with my parents and brothers family yesterday. We did the same last year (different reason,though)
I think I like having Christmas spaced out like that. It's less overwhelming.
I had made sock puppets for my 2 yr old nephew. Whenever I watch him, we always wear socks on our hands and make them talk, so I thought he'd like some sock puppets.

And for his mom... A box with easy lid for storage of the puppets on his toy shelf.
In addition to hot glueing the embellishments, I tacked them in place with needle and thread. It seemed for "Toddler Friendly" that way.
Here is a quite visual guide:

I spent News Years Day (morning) charting out my revolving garden. Those parts of the garden I plant to rotate crops for a more year round harvest. I have 5 garden areas for this,  my 3 boxes to the left of the back porch, a box on the right side of the back porch, and a section in the ground I will rotate winter carrots and summer bell peppers. I have sowing dates for all 10 crops, along with dates to prep the soil between plantings. I put all pf the dates into my smartphone calendar with a reminder set for a few days before.

I felt Quite Accomplished. Too bad I can't devote this much effort to cleaning the kitchen.

HEALTH NOTE: on the first day of the year, I took my vitamins, drank my 2L of water, and met my Fitbit goal!
my 21 yr old son found an app for my smart phone called HABITRPG. I earn gold by meeting daily goals and tasks (that I list) and can go on quests and buy new armor and swords with my earned coins!

O.D'ed on the Blog Hops

life with my 3 boybarians <-- Click this link to go to a PHOTO HOP. My photo of the week will be this ornament:
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Ellen Barrett is a cute & spunky fitness DVD guide , host , trainer. She is fun and I like her workouts. BUT my heart does not. My heart has a tendency to REV REALLY FAST, making me dizzy & weak. And though a good strong workout does that to people, my heart gets there in record time! (like 3-5 minutes on a treadmill or elliptical machine). I had forgotten about this fact when I went to NETFLIX to find a Yoga Workout. I chose Ellen's (Crunch:super Slim Down). The 6 minute warm-up was nice. But I then had to get my water bottle.
And, because I am a mom, I got sidetracked.
So after hiding the 3 wisemen and picking a lemon of the tree in the backyard, I filled my water bottle and returned to the CRUNCH workout- I just wanted some calming, stretching yoga. Ellen makes everything into a cardio workout. 5 minutes into it, I was done. Stick a fork in me. My heart about POPPED.
NOTE TO SELF: find a CALM yoga work out!
NOTE TO SELF: Red Bell peppers are YUMMY- just NOT in the juicer! (you don't need that story)
Homeschool Hop #1 Photobucket and Hop#2
Though some may think this is vacation from school, that is not the case. We are finishing up Chapter 1 in chemistry. We were supposed to finish it the week before the Christmas Skit, but got too busy with all the rehearsals.
It went well today. It was a short lesson. It had some math. It was multi-step math. Ki did it. He figured it out on his own each time and did not complain or seem like it is zapped every last ounce of energy. You know how some kids just don't get math and don't get math... then one day it just CLICKS and they GET it from then on out...? For Ki it all the sudden just clicks, but then seems to unclick a couple days later. I love those days that is clicks. Hooray for a CLICKy day!
Today they learned about denistiy and how to determine the density of an object. Gavin already knew of course and corrected me when I started to say a common unit was "grams per mL" It is though. G said it is measures in grams per cm3. He is correct, too, though. There are 2 common units for density.
And they already knew which liquid was more dense, of course, but they had to figure out the density for each.
Tomorrow we finish the chapter. I might have them find the percentages for density difference tomorrow.
Dec 24th.
As promised, I have a couple pictures of my new outfits. Of 2 of them anyway. I have 1 more to get a picture of later today maybe.
Here is what I wore to dinner on my anniversary: The boot & skirt already owned, the tip and scarf are new.
Here is another outfit that I bought for comfort, but the top shirts wasn't as loose as I hoped. Ki took the picture while I was still fixing my hair, it was windy.
*My inspiration for posting clothes comes from SASSY CLASSY's BLOG. (click to read). She often posts her outfit combos. Her Sister, MELODY, is Moving Shoes(click to read)- posting about all her shoes. She is trying to wear them all, not at once though. But she has a lot of shoes but hadn;t been wearing them all and decided to wear them all on different days. ALSO-Inspiration from HOME with the Boys, who also does a What I Wore post.
Ki made crepes for breakfast, but we had no berries or whipped creme, just Pancake Syrup or Chocolate Syrup. Ki likes crepes. They are best when we have all the "Crepe Fixings" though.
We put up the Christmas Tree last night.
Finally. Actually Ki wanted to put it up Christmas Morning.
Connor wanted it in the kitchen. I was pulling for him, but we were over ruled. So it is in the Dinner Room. The Kitchen and Dining room are more like One Big Room, though.
And I did ride my bike yesterday for approx. 2.5 miles. It's not much, but a start. and after seeing my pictures in my new outfits I think I'm gonna step up exercise a few notches!
We haven't wrapped any Christmas Presents yet. I will be busy doing that today I guess. and I have to take the boys out to get something for Brian. He didn't get me a list until I was done shopping and no longer had much time due to Play Rehearsal and then was down a car from the flood, plus I like to procrastinate. We had a Whirlwind Cleaning Yesterday, too. According to Lazy Mom's Blog; 'Timing is Everything' ; I am the Late Cleaner, but I am not a Mean Cleaner. I do list-off orders like a drill sergeant, though. but not a mean drill sergeant.
SCHOOL: A school update: It's Christmas Week. There is no school.
Peer Pressure
Having decided that I need to get more exercise, and realizing that all I seem to do is say to myself; "I should exercise more"- I decided to keep a little journal on the topic. Kind of a motivational accountability thing. (It's the facebook Peer Pressure- all those people with their running/biking stats...) So, if I stop journaling about it you can say to me "HEY! What happened to all the awesome exercise you used to do??" or "Do you still make up fictional exercise journals about what you should be doing but don't?"
Yesterday- I did walking Lunges across the back yard and about 20 sit-up/crunches.
OH MY! Walking Lunges KILL. I am so sore! I can barely walk. And stand from a sitting positio.
Today- 10 sit-ups, 10 push-ups, and rode my bike to Von's (probably 0.8 miles round trip- but it was VERY VERY windy- so that should double the amount of calories burned.)
In other, more interesting,news....... I picked 6 oranges of my orange tree.
The 1st two years we lived here I thought it was lime tree. with bad limes. The fruit never got beyond looking like limes, then they'd all fall off. It wasn't watered much by the people that lived here before us. After 1.5 years of good watering, we have ORANGES!!
And in even more interesting news........ I went shopping yesterday.. for clothes... for myself.... and saved money. Khol's Clearance racks PLUS 15% off coupon. I may have to do one of those WHAT I WORE/NEW OUTFITS posts..... I guess turning 39 must have rewired my brain.
Connor made me earrings. I had asked for DNA earrings. Here is what he made for me:
Brian bought me a Chronological Bible. It's cool. all the books and verses are all out of order (so that they are in order as to when they were written).
:::: Good Luck wishes to the kids performing in the showcase tonight :::::
