Flowy Fun

Made a flowy, cool skirt today. It's so hot outside. I think the temperature and humidity must be about the same. 95. (Fahrenheit)

I love attaching 'under-shorts' to my skirts!  they make the skirts more comfy! loose and flowy skirts but still a held-in snug feel that I like. A touch of modesty and the keep sweaty summer thighs from sticking together, giggles.
*Skirt Fabric is ITY from SoSewEnglish. The shorts are made of Power Mesh from PheeFabrics. The skirts is just a made up pattern, the shorts are PegLegs from Patterns for Pirates (a free pattern)

Yesterday I wore a fun Bicycle dress I made last year. This dress is filed under FEMSICAL!

*Bicycle Fabric from Fabric.com, 2 years ago though

I think I might post what I wear when it's Made by Me, more often.  For myself. I kinda have a lot of things I made and I wat to make sure everything is getting worn! (I get into clothing ruts)

NO PANTS on me! No Pants April days 14 & 15

NO PANTS APRIL is going strong!

Day #14 had me thinking I might want to workout, but not enough to change into workout clothes, so I just started the day this way

and ended the day that way.

and never worked out.

It's an odd picture, but I actually took the picture to show someone the particular style of workout skirt.

I did better with Sunday pictures.

My hat with a flower clipped on the band.
My LuLaRoe Cardigan, that seems to match almost everything!
And Made-by-me, softer-than-L.L.R. skirt. It is a circle skirt cut in the shape of a square, with rounded corners.

The WHIMSY in my Femsical ... handmade mushroom earrings:

sitting in church, my cardigan ties looked kinda like a rabbit...

I like these ($5 Goodwill) shoes more than I thought I would!  I almost always wear solid color shoes, wasn't sure if these stripes would work, but they were comfy flats.

Trying to look artsy-fartsy

Persephone the Floof!

IN OTHER NEWS:
I made a cami-tank for a friend:

I hade some extra Dem Bones fabric ( So Sew English Fabrics ) from my Sunshine Dress, so I made her this fun top!

I read an article, about how to write a blog, to attract readers. I do almost everything wrong.  It sounds like too much work.

Oh, I have some videos for Friday the 13th NPA, but am trying to figure out how to get them here. (My phone doesn't want to email them, I might have to upload them to youtube)

NPA2018 #3&4 stripes and barbells

This will be a short blip for No Pants April days 3 and 4. Been dealing with migraines (and need to get in to my doctor for new meds)

Yesterday was a casual outfit. a Yellow & Dark Grey Raglan Top and Pencil Skirt (made by me) and athletic leggings. It's a bit chilly where I work, sewing for firemen.

Not the prettiest nor most flattering, but comfy and warm!

and cute SNAKES in my ears!!

Last Night I designed and cut Amelia's Wedding Apron. (my future daughter in law asked for an apron b/c she is having pasta at the reception)

My Lovely Cat, because I know you all want to see Persephone sleeping. Who wouldn't???

TODAY's outfit was yo make lifting weights easier.

I did  1 set with the weight bar and got super dizzy, re-triggered my migraine, and then  I slept most the rest of the day.

SIGH.

No Pants April 2018: Day 2 boots and denim

It was such a lovely day yesterday! warm spring Easter weather! I didn't even wear anything over my sleeveless dress.

late last night. when it was still April 1st.

THIS April Fools Joke happened:
I had already picked my NPA2018 outfit last night. My legs will freeze. It is a battle of the wills. It was almost warm yesterday! (back to leggings and maxi skirts tomorrow!)

The cute cropped denim jacket is from Goodwill. The yellow striped sleeveless top I made (fabric from So Sew English ) The skirt is a Frankenstein made from a Sundress (Hawaiian gals) and a  youth wrap skirt (thrift store in Cali). Boots- online somewhere. Awesome Hat - gift from my brother.

I like to wear my hair like this, small side French braids and low ponytails.

The Necklace- my husband bought for me in a quaint resale store we found on our 25th wedding anniversary weekend. The earrings were made by my Father-In-Law from shells he collected at the beach.

the mess I had to untangle to get to my  necklace.
BECAREFUL! There are WILD Varmits out there on the plain!

But some are purty

No Pants April 2018: DAY 1

"I've got no pants
to weight me down.
To make me fret
To make me frown.

I had pants, but now I'm free
there are no pants on me!"

HAPPY NO PANTS APRIL!
DAY number 1
Today I wore..

NO PANTS!

..and maybe MORE importantly...

MY NEW HAT!

I love my hat! like: giddy-school-girl happy love!!

And I love this dress I wore to church today!

I sewed it all together using a vintage pattern my father found at an estate sale.

Here is the back of mine. This is such a cute patterns (early 1960s)
Things about this dress that I love:
  • the cute pink panel in the back..
  • VINTAGE pattern!
  • the awesome princess seam pockets
and ...FLAMINGOS!

After church I took Persephone (my cat) to visit The Queen in my TARDIS... (not really, that's just what I told her)
It was a grand day!

Well, except the pounding migraine..

after my Excedrin-Migraine-Nap I chose this comfy No-Pants-Ensemble:
and stole a slice of pizza from my son.

My Winter Garden Pt2 - spinach and chicken wire

Today I planted the first half of the spinach seeds. Both the spinach and the carrot winter garden boxes are covered in chicken wire basically to keep the cats from digging my seeds.

Speaking of my cat, Persephone, she enjoy being outside with me while I was planting seeds. She was running to and fro like she was possessed by demons.
And thanks to the Rain the past few days with still warm temperatures my backyard is filled with mushrooms! Dark ones and white ones. But the dark ones photographed better in the morning sun.

And, speaking of mushrooms, my husband and I went on a hike yesterday for our wedding anniversary. And there lots of fun fungi to photograph.

That last picture is a fun guy, not a fungi.
